Happy Anniversary

Two years ago, Art and I stood before one hundred and fifty of our closest friends and family and made a promise to one another "for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part." After 10 years together and 2 years of marriage I am happy to say that I love my husband more today than the day that we were married. We have been through so much together both good and bad and there is no other person in this world that I would want to stand beside me through this life.

He still makes my heart melt when I see him in uniform....

My Gift...

This is the  thoughtful and amazing gift that my husband gave me for our second anniversary as husband and wife. It is a beautiful oil painting of our wedding picture and I could not be happier with the way that it came out. I am very much looking forward to finding the perfect place for it in our home and hanging it together.

Two Families Becoming One....

There is nothing more beautiful than when two people decide that they are meant to be with one another for the rest of their lives. Slightly over a year ago my brother, Mike and my soon to be sister-in-law, Jen were engaged to be married. As there wedding approaches and tthe celebrations begin two families will become one. Heres to a special day and a beautiful bridal shower!

I am so happy to welcome Jen as an official part of the "Hicks" family although she has really been part of our family for years. I hope that the days leading up to the wedding are jouyous and full of celebration and that their wedding day and marriage are all they have dreamed of...

Fasci

Meet Sir Bay's Fascination (otherwise known as Fasci). Fasci is registered as a 1/2 Quarter horse, her father is Quarter horse and her mother is a Standardbred. I recently had the pleasure of riding this beautiful animal which was especially significant for me because it was the first time that I have had the opportunity to ride since high school.  It was the perfect day for a trail ride with a slight breeze in the air and I couldn't imagine a better way to spend my Saturday morning....

Summertime Fun

I absolutely love being with our nieces, Taylor (age 5) and Brooke (age 3) and I frequently find myself wishing that I was able to spend more time with them. My sincerest hope is that Art and I will always be an example to them. That the love that we share together and the love that we have for them will always shine through us and impact their lives in a positive way.

A Hidden Treasure

Several weeks ago I was asked to go on vacation with friends who have become more like family to me. We were truly blessed to find a hidden treasure in Cape Cod and spent a week together in a small cottage overlooking the ocean. What an amazing gift this vacation was!

My Hero

I am an Army Wife and I am so blessed to be married to my hero! I never could have imagined how our journey through life together would unfold and how almost one year ago we would receive orders that would change our lives. This is the life that we chose and I know that no matter how difficult our trials may be, God has placed us both exactly where we are suppossed to be.
